The shells Lance and I found at the beach

These are all the shells we found when we went to Mallipo Beach.

                                           We put our favorite ones here and the rest in a clear vase

Our first trip to Mallipo beach

 First things first. Lance and I were finally able to find an English GPS for Korea thank goodness! Without this we would have never made it to Mallipo! We've named her Bonnie.  :) 

So here are some pictures from the drive.

There aren't many houses in South Korea but every once in a while you can find houses that are enormous. I almost didn't believe this was a house. We passed quite a few beautiful homes on the way to Mallipo.

And after just an hour and a half of driving we finally made it!

 

 

The beach was beautiful.

 

We found lots of starfish. 

 

 

Lance and I walked along the beach for about an hour collecting shells. We found some really cool ones but I forgot to take pictures of them. I did manage to get a picture of a shell with a little guy still in there. It popped out a few times but quickly went back inside his shell.  I don't think he liked us very much.

After our walk on the beach we stopped to have some lunch at a pizza place run by Koreans who also lived in the back of the restaurant.

 

Lance was busy reading all the Korean signs in the restaurant.

 

After lunch we decided to head down to the lighthouse and the boardwalk.

After we left the boardwalk we found an epmty  area out of the way so we climbed down the rocks and sat there for a while. 

 

We left this little area and found a few carnival rides. All of them were for little kids except one ship ride that swings you high into the air. So we rode that which was awesome because we got to see a beautiful view of the ocean from really high up while having the crap scared out of us :)  On our way out we also found ziplines right next to the beach. We would have tried that out today but I was too scared. Maybe next time though.

We really enjoyed our first trip to Mallipo and we can't wait to go in the summer. 

2 year anniversary

Today is our 2 year anniversary. When Lance got off work he took me to a really nice restaurant where this was sitting at a reserved table. :) We enjoyed a really nice dinner as well as each other's comapny 

Dr. Suess birthday party!!

One of Lance's friends is having a Dr. Seuss party for his daughters so I decided to make Thing 1 and 2 cupcakes for the occasion ^_^ 

I made sure to make sizes for the older kids and the really little kids :) 

2 day BBQ / Superbowl madness!

On Sunday Lance wanted to invite some friends over for a  BBQ at our house. About 22 people showed up and everyone had a great time eating, talking, and playing lots of video games. I didn't get to take many pictures because we were so busy the whole day.  

Lance had a few friends over a few hours before to help marinate and season all the meat. This was for the burgers which everyone absolutely loved.

We had a lot of ribs. We also had Chicken, shrimp, boul gogi (Korean beef) and  lot of veggie kabobs because we had a few vegetarians at the party.

The BBQ started at 4:00 pm. Some people left but mostly everyone wanted to stay. Around 3:00 am  some of the guys eventually passed out.

Someone even fell asleep cuddling with Gizmo :)  

 

The next morning , everyone still wanted to stay so we threw some more burgers on the grill and turned on the superbowl and had a superbowl party that ended around 9:00 pm. Lance and I were exhuasted by the end of the 2nd day but we all had a lot of fun!
