Baby belly

I realised I haven't put any pregnancy pictures on here. :D I am 30 weeks today.

Out to dinner with Lance at one of our favorite Teriyaki places. We are kind of tired of Korean food so we like to come here to have something different when we go out. I also like that the coke is in glass bottles.

Making room for Riley

Living in Korea makes it a little difficult to set up a nursery because we have pretty limited options but we definitely made the most out of what we did have available to us. We still have quite a few things to do before Riley arrives but here is what we have done so far.

When it came to getting the crib I had my heart set on getting one that could change from a crib, to a toddler bed, to a twin bed in a cherry wood color. We tried ordering one from our PX but they said it would arrive in 6 months or more. Being 5 months pregnant at the time, we decided not to go with that idea. As we were leaving, Lance suggested we go look at the cribs they had in stock. The selection they had to choose from was a white crib and really dark brown wood color, none of which could change into different bed sizes. I was just going to settle and pick one when Lance found a box hiding way in the back with the exact crib I was hoping to get. Same color and model that could change sizes. I was thankful that Lance decided to go hunting through all of the boxes because this was the last crib they had left of this color and model. The PX didn't even have it registered in their inventory so I feel we got extremely lucky with this one :) We bought it right on the spot, took it home, and set it up. Thank you again, Lance!

Gizmo & Gadget wanted to help set up the crib (More like they just wanted to get in the way.)

We were both really happy with the way it turned out :)

A few days after we got the crib all set up we recived a package in the mail which had a beautiful baby blanket that Noelle made for Riley. I may have screamed and jumped up and down a little when I opened it. We absolutely LOVE it! We also got a giraffe security blanket from mom which I was also very excited about because I had been searching EVERYWHERE for a giraffe security blanket but all I could find were dogs and monkeys. These gifts were absolutely amazing and perfect in every way. Thank you :)

So here are some pictures of what the nursery looks like so far. Like I said, we stil have quite a few more things to buy for Riley but everything is coming together pretty well.

Lance and I are really happy with the way everything is turning out so far but we still have so much left to do! Riley is due December 10 and the time is just flying by but I am sure we will have everything ready for her by the time she gets here :)

Lance's 25th birthday

Just like he does on Christmas morning, Lance made sure to wake up bright and early to get a start on opening up his gifts

Lance was pretty excited about Starcraft 2 when it came out

A light up Micecraft wall torch

That actually light's up and hangs on the wall. Lance is excited to hang it up with his minecraft sword and pickaxe

Stickers from his favorite show.

All the firefly gifts he got for his birthday...or so he thought. :)

I had him open this one last. He was growing a bit impatient while I was messing around with the camera settings

He was quite surprised with this one

After Lance finished opening his gifts I told him he could make any request for breakfast and he chose stuffed french toast.

After breakfast we had friends come over for a small birthday get together for Lance. With all the excitement I forgot to take pictures.
After everyone went home I started making Lance's cake. I wanted it to be special so I made a tie dye cake!

It came out awesome and Lance loved it!

He was ready for me to serenade him

He said he made a big wish for our baby :)
After singing happy birthday we wrapped up the night with homemade chili for dinner, a slice of cake, and a movie. Lance said he had a really great day :)

The next day, mom funded a shopping spree for Lance to go and buy whatever he wanted/needed. Since it is getting really hot here, Lance decided to buy some new shorts. He's pretty tired of wearing jeans. We also went our for dinner and a movie which was also on mom. :)

There was one last thing Lance and I decided to get while we were out. We still don't know the gender of the baby but they (he or she) are going to have a jungle themed nursery either way so we picked up a few things. We should be finding out the gender at our next sonogram appointment in about 2 weeks.

The shells Lance and I found at the beach

These are all the shells we found when we went to Mallipo Beach.

We put our favorite ones here and the rest in a clear vase

Our first trip to Mallipo beach

First things first. Lance and I were finally able to find an English GPS for Korea thank goodness! Without this we would have never made it to Mallipo! We've named her Bonnie.  :)

So here are some pictures from the drive.
A couple of interesting Hotels.

Lots and lots of apartments.

More apartments.....

And more apartments which Lance and I agreed were quite hideous.

There aren't many houses in South Korea but every once in a while you can find houses that are enormous. I almost didn't believe this was a house. We passed quite a few beautiful homes on the way to Mallipo.

A random statue. We weren't sure what it was a statue of, but it was huge.

And after just an hour and a half of driving we finally made it!

The beach was beautiful.

We found lots of starfish.

Lance and I walked along the beach for about an hour collecting shells. We found some really cool ones but I forgot to take pictures of them. I did manage to get a picture of a shell with a little guy still in there. It popped out a few times but quickly went back inside his shell.  I don't think he liked us very much.

Lance and I posing next to the Mallipo entrance.

After our walk on the beach we stopped to have some lunch at a pizza place run by Koreans who also lived in the back of the restaurant.

Lance was busy reading all the Korean signs in the restaurant.

After lunch we decided to head down to the lighthouse and the boardwalk.

We found little love notes scratched into the wood

After we left the boardwalk we found an epmty  area out of the way so we climbed down the rocks and sat there for a while.

We left this little area and found a few carnival rides. All of them were for little kids except one ship ride that swings you high into the air. So we rode that which was awesome because we got to see a beautiful view of the ocean from really high up while having the crap scared out of us :)  On our way out we also found ziplines right next to the beach. We would have tried that out today but I was too scared. Maybe next time though.
We really enjoyed our first trip to Mallipo and we can't wait to go in the summer.
